Steve started as an employee benefits actuary with Great West Life in 1990. In 1998 he moved to the sales force with Great West and their joint venture partner New England Financial where he was Rookie of the Year and Top Rep in the country for three years. In 2002, he partnered with longtime friend and started his own insurance agency – Schroeder, Olson and Associates. His specialty is large group underwriting with a strong technical background due to his ASA designation with the Society of Actuaries. His interests are hockey, golf and giving back to the community through organizations like Rotary International where he is president-elect for 2010.
